We are proud to be India’s first gem lab to offer a certified Jewellery Appraisal Certificate, launched in 2025. This pioneering service addresses a long-standing void in the Indian gem and jewelry market, where accurate and standardized appraisals were either inconsistent or inaccessible to many buyers and sellers.
Historically, jewellery valuation in India relied heavily on informal estimates, subjective judgment, or undocumented verbal assessments. This created confusion and mistrust, especially in cases involving insurance claims, estate planning, or high-value transactions.
Recognizing this gap, DGSL developed a methodical, science-backed certificate that combines gemstone grading, material authentication, and a fair market value estimate in one credible document.
